Surprise!

Apparently the last drawing of any kind I posted here was way back in July. Here's something simple from a whiteboard at uni.

Those who've seen the previous incarnation can imagine my surprise and delight yesterday at finding a new mailbox outside!

The last couple of days there has been some workshop for the engineers and other visiting engineers in our building. What this means is that they have catered food 3 times a day. OVERcatered food, as is the norm. Which means... LEFTOVERS for the hungry grad student!

As I was AMBUSHED on the way back from the gym yesterday and had to eat 4 danishes and some cake in self defence, I came better prepared today. i.e. I had a nectarine for breakfast and dined on the good quality free food all day. For dinner once home, toast with poached eggs, smoked salmon, and mushrooms and red onion lightly fried in a little butter. Some fresh oregano to top it off. It was Very Good (although technically better served for breakfast).

Far too early tomorrow I'm off to Goulbourn for a blues festival, then on to Sydney for the cricket on Sunday. I'm told there may be beach-going in the meantime.

I haven't been doing much drawing or painting recently. Must be time I started doing some more.
